The American Heart Association’s new Healthcare Provider Online Renewal course
could be your answer to you time constraints.
We recognize that healthcare providers have knowledge and skills acquired over years of
retraining and clinical experience.
The new HCP Online Renewal Course allows the healthcare provider to complete many of the
required course components over the Internet.

About the Course
The course contains a series of online modules that cover the required adult, child, and infant
CPR sequences:
• 12 checkpoints that must be completed
• 20 review sections and 19 videos that are optional
Participants usually require 1 to 2 hours to complete the online portion.

Course Components
• Complete Part I of the online portion (Key code will be e-mail once you have purchased the
course)
• Attend a Skill Assessment  by QUEST for the skills check, to complete Part II
• Receive an American Heart Association BLS-HCP certification card good for two years
Details describing the steps will be sent via e-mail.

You will need to register to access the site. You will be given a key code to take the online portion.
Once completed you will print your certification
Next attend the skills check you registered for and  you will be issued your certification.
